With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Ruth "Betty" Elizabeth Weinreich on February 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Betty shared 67 years of unconditional love and companionship as the beloved wife of Nolan "Bunky" Raymond Weinreich. She was a devoted mother to Stephen Louis Weinreich and his wife Amy, and Sandra Lynn Funk and her husband Michael.
Betty's warmth and affection extended to her grandchildren: Casey Shaeffer and her husband Eric, Clinton Foster, Emma Daily and her husband Zach, Garrett Funk and his wife Amanda, Hannah Funk, and the late Cody Weinreich. She found immense joy in her role as a cherished great-grandmother to Killian Weinreich and Brantley Funk.
In addition to her immediate family, Betty is survived by her loving sisters, Alice Richter, Lois Richter, and Gloria Richter, along with her sister-in-law Lorraine Kahl, and numerous adoring nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Lassahn Funeral Home, Inc., located at 7401 Belair Road in Overlea, on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, located at 7910 Belair Road, on Monday, March 4, 2023, at 10:00 am. Betty will be laid to rest in the Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church (www.st-peterslutheran.com) in Betty's honor, reflecting her lifelong commitment to her faith and church community.
