Ruth Rice Zollman, a beloved soul whose kindness and love touched the lives of many, passed away peacefully at Lake Pointe Village in Scottsburg, Indiana. She was surrounded by her cherished children, reflecting the love that she had always selflessly given to others.

Born on October 18, 1929, Ruth led a life filled with grace and compassion. She graduated from Scottsburg High School in 1947 and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church Leota over 60 years. At the church, Ruth dedicated herself to various roles, from being a VBS teacher to leading the choir as a talented pianist. Her devotion extended beyond the church walls as she welcomed neighborhood children to join her at church, embodying the true spirit of community and care.

Ruth's career at Avon spanned many years, where she not only worked diligently but also touched the hearts of colleagues with her positive attitude and unwavering kindness. Her warm personality shone through in everything she did, be it her culinary skills in making delicious chicken and dumplings and chili or her love for gospel music.

Known for her boundless love and selflessness, Ruth was a beacon of light to all who knew her. She had a heart of a servant, always putting the needs of others before her own, especially her treasured children. She shared a special bond with her friends, whom she considered as dear as family, her funny wit and thoughtfulness left a lasting impact on all she met.

Ruth is survived by her loving family, including her son Brian Eaton Keach of Deputy, Indiana, her daughter Becky Napier of Lexington, Indiana, and her daughter Shari Johnston of Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her six grandchildren - Renetta Hagler, Dustin Haven, Amanda Dearborn, Amy Nemeth, Lauren Johnston, and Logan Keach - as well as 8 great-grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren. Additionally, her daughter-in-law Kay Haven of Scottsburg, Indiana, mourns her passing.

In the embrace of eternal peace, Ruth reunites with her deceased father, Herbert A. Rice, and mother, Treva (Reed) Rice. She is also reunited with her first husband of 37 years, Dudley Allen Keach, who was "Daddy" to her children, and her second husband of 11 years, Roy Zollman. Ruth is also preceded in death by her sons Rick Haven and Donald Keach, her grandson, Brandon Haven, along with her brother Paul Rice.
