Dennis Ray Zollman, 60, of Memphis, IN, passed away on November 12, 2024, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, KY. Dennis was born on June 10, 1964, in Jeffersonville, IN, to the late Raleigh "Bud" Virgil and Carolyn Lorene (Lawson) Zollman. He was a devoted father, a caring friend, and a proud outdoorsman who loved nature.
Dennis served as the head of maintenance at Love's Truck Stop in Memphis, IN, and had a deep appreciation for hard work and helping others. Known as a "jack of all trades," he was always willing to lend a hand and would give you the shirt off his back. His passion for the outdoors was evident in his many hobbies, including arrowhead hunting, mushroom foraging, fishing, and walking creeks. Dennis loved spending time with his grandchildren, tending his garden, and finding joy in simple, natural pleasures. Previously, he owned a landscaping business in Florida, where his love for nature also thrived.
Dennis is survived by his three children, Jessica Hodges of Jeffersonville, IN; Dalton Zollman of Clarksville, IN; and Dustin (Amber) McIntire of Danville, IL; eight beloved grandchildren: Raleigh, Issabella, Sophia, Liam, Noah, James, Nikola, and Madam; and the mother of his children, Patricia "Patty" McIntire of Clarksville, IN. He is also survived by his sister, Hazel Martin of New Albany, IN. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Raleigh "Bud" Virgil and Carolyn Lorene Zollman, and his siblings, Barbara J. Zollman, Pauline Myers, Buddy Zollman, and Patsy Day.
Funeral services for Dennis will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Adams Family Funeral Homes and Crematory in Henryville. Family and friends may visit from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the same location.
