Ryan A. Pheiffer

Ryan Anthony Pheiffer, 48, of Princeville, passed from this life surrounded by loving family and friends on June 5th, 2025. He had fought valiantly for nineteen days at Loyola Hospital.
Born August 4, 1976, he was raised in Princeville, IL. He played football, basketball and baseball in high school and graduated in 1995. The friendships formed at Princeville High School were lifelong gifts. He played football for MacMurray College where he earned an Associate's Degree. On May 25, 2013, Ryan and Amy Peterson were married.
Ryan worked in the cable and landscaping industries and, for many years, worked with his father at Ruth Oil. But the job that Ryan truly treasured was being dad to his son Brayden and his daughter Brynlee. Always their #1 FAN, Ryan enjoyed Brayden's love of multiple sports and was proud of Brynlee's dance recitals. Ryan endearingly called Bray, "Fox 1" and Bryn "Bryn-N- the-tins", which will always remain in their hearts. Ryan was a kid at heart and entertained all our friends and neighborhood kids with his numerous dad jokes, Donald Duck impressions, and his infamous monkey dance. He was one of a kind.
Ryan was predeceased by his father William "Corky" Pheiffer; paternal grandparents William and Gertrude (McMeekan) Pheiffer; his father-in-law Bob Peterson; and maternal grandfather John "Jack" McGinn who Ryan credited for his sense of humor.
Surviving Ryan are his wife, Amy; his mother, Coleen Pheiffer of Princeville; and three sisters, Maureen (Tyler) Knight of Cedar Rapids, IA; Jobie (Pete) Thurin of South Bend, IN; and Natalie Conway of Overland Park, KS; his maternal grandmother, Rena McGinn; his mothers-in-law Judy (Tom) Larson of Chillicothe, IL and Val Peterson of Oglesby, IL; Aunt Kathy (Bob) King of Hopewell, IL, Uncle Kevin (Michele) of Orlando, FL, Uncles Don (Terry) Pheiffer and Barry (Cindy) Pheiffer, all of Wyoming. Also surviving are his brothers-in law Kendon (Amanda) Peterson and Riley Peterson of Oglesby, IL; and sister-in-law Stephanie Ashworth of West Chester, OH. Ryan was adored by many cousins and was beloved "Uncle Ryan" to numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom love Brynlee, who turned 7 on June 8th, and Brayden who is 15.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Ryan Pheiffer June 21, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Arrowhead Country Club, 19430 N. Centerville Rd. Edelstein IL 61526.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the children's college funds or a GOFUNDME set up on the family's behalf by friends. A college fund link is forthcoming.
