January 18, 2025 peacefully at the age of 94. Jerry is predeceased by his beloved wife of 51 years, Myrna Levis Davidson. He is survived by his son, Richard and daughters Barbara Morgan and Nancy (Marc) Williamson, grandchildren Kyle and Katie Williamson and Charles and Ellie Davidson as well as many loving family members and dear friends.
Jerry attended Monroe High School, graduating in the class of 1948. Then he attended and graduated from the University of Rochester in 1952. He went on to and graduated from Cornell Law School in 1955. Shortly after, he went into the U.S. Army for two years, during which time he served in the position of Law Officer for the Nuremberg, Germany sub-area in post war Germany.
Upon discharge from the Army, he returned to Rochester and began the practice of law. In 1968, he founded a law firm that evolved into the current law firm of Davidson Fink LLP. Jerry was active in the Monroe County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association, where he served as chair of the Family Law Section. He also served in the New York State Bar House of Delegates for several years. He was a member of the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys and lectured throughout the state on Family Law issues. He retired in 2013. He was a member of the Town of Brighton Zoning Board, and the Boards of the Jewish Home and Jewish Senior Life.
Jerry was a member of Irondequoit Country Club for over 50 years and a lifetime member of Temple Beth El. For many years, Jerry enjoyed gardening and cooking and became known for his pie making. He and Myrna loved skiing at Ski Valley Ski Club and various ski areas in Colorado. They also loved to attend the Broadway Musical Theater and the Metropolitan Opera Theater. Jerry lit up every room he walked into with his infectious, loving smile and had the natural ability to bring everyone together. He will be remembered for his positivity, love of life and everyone in it.
A service honoring Jerry will be held at Temple Beth El, 139 Winton Rd, Rochester on Sunday, 11 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Jerry's memory to the Rochester Broadway Theater League or the Wilmot Cancer Institute.

My condolences on the death of your dad. I had the benefit of having had Jerry as a law partner for ten years, but an even greater privilege of having had him as a close friend. I will miss him and our post-retirement lunches. I regret that I was unable to convey these sentiments in person to the three of you.

Richie, Barbie, and Nancy, another long ago neighbor adding his condolences for the loss of your father. I was lucky enough to know him as not only my neighbor, father of my friends, but also as a fellow lawyer who watched him work a number of times. His personable nature, lively sense of humor, and command of his practice was a sight to behold in any setting. I have great memories of the lot of you on Glen Ellyn Way.

I knew your Dad from downtown when he came in to get his haircut by Jacky, when she had surgery and I helped her. He was such a gentleman. My deepest sympathes to your family!

Richie, Barbie and Nancy, I am sorry to learn of your dad's passing. I always remember him and your mom fondly from when we were kids. I think you all gave him a run for his money (and we might've helped a bit). Kind and patient! I enjoyed reading his story here, he had some amazing accomplishment in his life. The Bunkers are keeping you in our prayers and sharing good memories of living close to the Davidsons. May your dad's memory be a blessing.

When I joined the Ross Cann Bridge Group about 10 years ago, I had the pleasure to meet and play bridge with Jerry. He was a competitive player, but thoughtful and considerate. We had many good times at the bridge table.

May he rest in peace.
