Passed on Friday, March 7, 2025, at age 71.
Shirley Ann White was born on October 21, 1953, to Arthur and Hattie Pace White in Tuskegee, Alabama. After her father refused to move from the sidewalk for a white man, he fled to Rochester, New York and sent for his wife and children when Shirley was five.
Shirley received her formal education in the Rochester City School District and graduated from James Monroe High School in 1971. She then received her associate's in business administration from the Strafford School of Business.
Shirley worked a variety of positions from Rochester Savings Bank. H&R Block. Rochester Leadership Academy and First Student.
She enjoyed playing softball, cooking, dancing, playing spades. and spending time with her family. Shirley loved to wear t-shirts that expressed her feelings (not that she had a problem with letting you know).
Shirley White departed this life on March 7, 2025. She was preceded in death by. her loving parents. Arthur and Hattie P. White; brothers: George White and Clifford White; and sister, Doris L. Branch. She leaves to cherish her memory her-children: Sean (Roberta) LaMar and Sabrina LaMar; three (3) Grandchildren: Tashmere LaMar, India Mealing. and Jaiona Lester: five (5) Great: Grandchildren; three (3) sisters: Audrey White, Sandra Soules, and Evelyn (Rita) White: and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins. and friends.
