Sabrina J Glavan

Sabrina Julia Glavan, 49, passed away peacefully on Nov. 11, 2024. Sabrina fiercely fought a 5 year battle with cancer.
Grew up in Montvale, NJ, Sabrina graduated at the top of her class from Pascack Hills High School and Magna Cum Laude from The George Washington University. Sabrina led a successful career in both politics (which she had a great passion for) and Media Relations. Sabrina also met the love of her life, Jonathan Lowy, on Capital Hill in which they married in Nov. 2016. Even though they had opposite views on politics, they shared a wonderful 6 years together.
Sabrina was a devoted wife, aunt, sister and daughter. Sabrina loved to travel, try amazing restaurants and bring meaning to all birthdays and holidays celebrated. Sabrina would make sure every gift that was given had the perfect card and thoughtfulness. Sabrina always knew how to make someone feel special with her vibrant personality and laughter. Sabrina was the light of every room. Everyone who knew Sabrina was blessed.
Sabrina is survived by her parents Zoran Glavan (Anita) and Susan Lovecchio (James); sister, Lara Paliouras (Dimitri); nieces Sophia Paliouras and Addison Meyers, nephews Alexander Paliouras, Jackson Meyers and Sullivan Lovecchio; step sister Michelle Meyers (Russ), step brother Mark Lovecchio (Maureen), and her many beloved relatives in Croatia and the Czech Republic, Zdenko Glavan, Ivanka Glavan, Iva Komlen, Daniel Glavan as well as those who pre-deceased her, Mark Novacek, Jitka Novacek, Joza Glavan, Ante Glavan.
Sabrina was preceded in death by her late husband Jonathan Lowy.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:30am-12:00pm Saturday, Nov. 16 at the C.C. Van Emburgh Funeral Home chapel with a memorial service taking place from 12:00pm-12:30pm.
