Sadie Suazo Valverde

Sadie Suazo Valverde of Las Cruces, New Mexico, beloved mother, wife, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, entered eternal rest at the age of 87 on Monday, April 28th, 2025.
Sadie was born to Carlos De Jesus and Josefita Gutierrez in 1938 in Colonias, NM. Sadie is survived by her five children, Joyce Suazo Wells, Andrew Suazo, Aggie Suazo-Sabala, Charles Suazo, and Amanda Valverde; grandchildren, Sophia Marie Sabala, Olivia Rose Sabala, Ashley Suazo Kratzer, and Steven Lee Wells; great grandchild, Kylie Marie Kratzer; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sadie is predeceased by both her parents and brother Plutarco Gutierrez.
Sadie was Executive Vice President at Ken Miyagishima Insurance Inc/Farmers Insurance. Sadie was an active member of her community. She held many offices and maintained her membership with various organizations. They included but are not limited to: The League of Women Voters of Greater Las Cruces, The Pan American Round Table of Las Cruces, The Alliance of Pan American Round Tables (Alianza de Mesas Redondas Panamericanas), Dona Ana Geological Society, and The International Association of Rebekah Assemblies.
Sadie truly knew that it was a blessing to give, more so than to receive. Her generosity knew no bounds. Sadie was a loving mother and grandmother and a beautiful soul who would help anyone. Her radiant smile and soulful laugh lit up any room she entered. She enjoyed traveling (all over the world) and dancing. She lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Sadie, a beacon of kindness and love, will forever reside in our hearts. Her legacy, exemplified by her compassion, will continue to inspire and guide us. As we grapple with the loss of her physical presence, we find solace in knowing that her spirit lives on by the love she instilled in all of us.
Services will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) Catholic Church, 1240 S Espina, Las Cruces, NM on Friday, May 9th, 2025. The viewing is scheduled for 11:00am, Rosary at 12:30pm and Mass at 1:00pm. Immediately following will be a reception at Finley Hall (located directly behind IHM).
