Sallie Ann (Coble) Lacey of Anderson, Indiana passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025 at the age of 98. Sallie was born on July 10, 1927 in Anderson to Clyde Coble and Mildred (Wiggin) Coble. She was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Nancy (Coble) Swackhamer and Dan Coble.
Sallie was married to Ted Lacey for 65 years and they had two beloved cildren, Nancy (Mo) Hodge and Bryan (Joni) Lacey. Ted & Sallie were extremely proud of their 4 grandchildren, Audra (Justin) Kauffman, Amanda (Nick) Gapinski, Jared (Renee) Hodge, and Jill (Eric) Anderson, and their 13 great grandchildren, Cameron, Gavin, Kendall, Daniel, Jameson, James, Lacey, Sydney, Joel, Titus, Rylee, Raelyn, and Cooper.
Sallie attended Purdue University and worked in bookkeeping and real estate in Anderson. Sallie was a skilled Bridge player, and she continued to play Bridge with friends into her 90s.
Sallie was an excellent cook, and she loved to host her family for meals in her home. She was famous for her fried chicken and her homemade breakfasts. Sallie also contributed her cooking skills to the funeral meal ministry at South Meridian Church of God, where she was a member for over 60 years.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a service to celebrate Sallie's life on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at South Meridian Church of God, 2402 Meridian St., Anderson, IN, 46016., followed by burial at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation before the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at the church.
