Sally Dimas

Sally "Mamaw" Dimas, 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in Lampasas.

A rosary will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 6 pm with visitation to follow until 8 pm.  The funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 2 pm with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Sally was born in Lampasas, TX on June 17, 1933.  She was devoted in her faith and a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lampasas.  She was also extremely devoted to her family, she was a housewife and spent her life taking care of her husband, kids and grandkids.  She enjoyed playing bingo, having garage sales, playing the slots, praying the rosary and was known to everyone as a great cook, famous for her Medina recipes and tamales.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, Lupe Dimas; her son, Ed Dimas; her parents, Mike and Margaret Medina; her brother, Frank Medina; her sister, Margaret Duarte; her granddaughter, Norma Hernandez and great-grandson, Coben Marez.

Survivors include her son, Frankie Dimas and wife, Dana; daughters, Cecelia Jimenez and husband Monroe, Patty Rios and husband Rey, Diane Hibbert; her daughter-in-law, Teresa Dimas; brother, Raymond Medina and wife Leticia; sisters, Emily Young, Dolores Medina, Vickie Franco and husband Carlos; sister-in-law, Sherry Medina; grandchildren, Julie, Jana, Kurt, Edika, Mystica, Patch, Spinner, Kristen, Bailey, Kamryn, Graham, Joe Rey; great-grandchildren, Cody, Johnnie, Cade, Chloe, Phillip, Ashley, Bianca, Tagg, Layne, Krew, Will, Finnegan, Rylee, Elijah, Marley, Brady, Caleb and great-great-grandchild, Casen.
