Sally L. Jeffries, formerly White, went to be with the Lord on April 13, 2025. Born in Terre Haute, Sally was the daughter of Gladys and Hobert White. Sally attended Garfield High School, and in 1957, married Carl Jeffries. Over the next several years, they managed hotels in Lansing, York, and Baltimore: Carl manning the front desk, and Sally supervising housekeeping. Returning to Terre Haute with Carl, Sally worked at Meis, later Elder-Beerman, as head of the Infants and Children's Department. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Terre Haute and the Rio Grande Baptist Church. Blessed with a beautiful soprano voice, she was a member of the choir and frequently performed solos. She was proud to have been a member of the choir when Billy Graham preached at the Hulman Civic Center. Sally loved cooking for her family, and she especially enjoyed baking for, and sometimes with, her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was preceded in death by her husband Carl. She is survived by her daughter Carla Moore, son Paul Jeffries; siblings Bill White, Michael White; Kay Gibson, Joesph White, Jeffry White, and Vicki Woodcook; grandchildren Brandon Moore, Evan Moore, and Aron Moore (Alicia); and great-grandchildren Hayden and Melody.
Services will be held at DeBaun Funeral Home at 12:00 PM on Friday, April 18th with visitation from 11:00 AM-12:00PM the same day. Burial at Roselawn will follow.

I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. Sally always had interesting things to share with me when I was there visiting. She was a bright spot at Welbrooke. And Joan loved their friendship . She will be missed by so many.
