Salvatrice (Burgio) Teodoro, 89, of Hartford, sadly left us on Saturday, April 27, 2024. She is survived by her beloved husband of over 70 years, Umberto and her four children, Connie and husband Paulo Fichera; Carmen and husband Salvatore Mangiafico; Paul Teodoro; and Rosana Millrod. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Anthony Mangiafico, Cecilia Sabatelli, Daniel Fichera, Paul Fichera, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Mima Tine and two sisters-in-law, Rosa DelVechio and Franca Teodoro. Salvatrice held her family and grandchildren close and she had a heart of gold. She was kind and loved by everyone who met her.
Salvatrice was born in Italy and moved to Brazil where she raised her children. She then moved to the United States and was a seamstress for many years. She worked at Roma Bakery making arancini and was an excellent cook. Salvatrice also had a love of gardening; her favorite flower being a rose. Each summer her yard was full of beautiful colored roses. Umberto and she planted a huge garden every year together.
The family would like to thank all the nurses at Bel-Air Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Newington for all their wonderful care over the past many months.
Funeral Service in her honor will be held on Friday, (May 3), 11:00 a.m. at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Calling hours are prior to the Service from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Online condolences may be made at www.SheehanHilbornBreen.com
