It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sammantha Rain Brooks, who left us unexpectedly on July 14, 2025, in a tragic vehicle accident in Medicine Bow, Wyoming. Born on August 19, 2006, in Casper, Wyoming, Sammantha brightened the lives of all who had the privilege to know her.
Sammantha was a devoted server and host at Texas Roadhouse, a position she held since 2024. Her gentle spirit was evident in her career, where she loved helping others and was always ready with a warm smile and a hug to make someone’s day a bit brighter. She was a fun-loving and adventurous young woman who found joy in every moment, from long drives to car concerts, and she delighted in sharing the experience of horror movies and music with her beloved twin sister, Hannah.
Her passion for life extended beyond work; Sammantha was truly at her happiest near the water and in the great outdoors. Whether at the lake or exploring Casper Mountain, she embraced nature as a vital part of her existence. Sunsets were her cherished moments, and her love for these simple yet profound experiences filled her life with joy and tranquility.
Sammantha’s ambition was inspiring; she was working diligently to obtain her G.E.D. and dreamed of a future in the nursing field — a testament to her caring and nurturing personality. She had an extraordinary talent for connecting with people, often seen offering a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on when her friends needed it most. Her warmth resonated with all those around her, creating bonds that will be forever treasured.
Sammantha leaves behind a loving family who will miss her dearly. She is survived by her twin sister, Hannah Brooks; her mother, Sarah Hardy; her father, Ron Brooks; her uncle, Andrew Thoma; and her grandparents, Tim and Dee Thoma. She is also preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Donna Hicks, and her great-grandparents, Jack and Irene Thoma.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at Casper Citi Works,162 S. Wolcott Street, beginning at 2:00 PM, as we gather to honor and remember the beautiful soul that Sammantha was. May her light continue to shine brightly in our hearts, and may we carry forward her love for life, adventure, and compassion for others.
