Samuel C. Cote, age 51, died Thursday, July 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, he was a son of the late Richard A. Cote and the late Patricia A. (Sherman) Cote.
Sam was a self-employed truck driver who has worked over-the-road and the local New England states. Sam enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his dog Joe Joe.
Sam is survived by his sisters, Bambi Cote-Cimino and husband Paul Cimino of Glocester, and Allison G. Cote of Burrillville, his brother Gregory A. Cote of Burrillville as well as his nieces Tya and Tanya Cote, Nicki Cote, his nephews Richard Potts, Jr., Nathan Fraere, Dakota Cote and Scott Michael Cote.
Sam had an extended family who he loved deeply. Michael Houle, who Sam considered not only his best friend, but also his brother, Dana Houle, Matthew Houle, Danielle Houle (Sissy) of Glocester, Dan Houle (dad), Aiden Bailey, Averee Bailey, Antonio Bailey, and RaeAnn Houle and Jakob Houle whom he was affectionately known to them as Uncle Sam. Sam also is survived by two very special young woman, Brianna D'Allesandro and Jenna D'Allesandro, whom he loved very much, as well as many friends.
In honoring Sam's wishes, he will be cremated, and a funeral service will not be held. A Celebration of Life will be held for Sam on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM, located at Hill's Tavern & Grill, 417 Putnam Pike, Chepachet.
