Samuel Lee Gooch was born January 22, 1951 to the late Houston
and Ernestine Campbell Gooch. On Monday, March 11, 2024 at Van
derbilt Hospital Nashville, TN, Samuel closed his eyes on this side but
opened them to behold the presence of the Lord forever.
Samuel professed hope in Christ at Mt. Orange Baptist Church. He
later moved his membership to Newbirth Kingdom church Dyer, TN
under the leadership of Bishop Larry Johnson.
Samuel was employed at Trenton Gibson Co-op Trenton, TN. He
was married to Mary Diane Jackson. To this union, two children were
born.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Mary D. Gooch; son,
Samuel Tyrone Gooch; daughter, Shanell Gooch; three grandchildren,
LaShonda, Keisha, and Tyneessia; nine great grandchildren, Joshua,
Jayden, Nick, Aaliya, Jalisa, Joseph Jr., Caine, Cortez, and Jamiliah;
sisters and brothers, Sarah (Robert) Johnson, Melvin (Denise) Gooch,
Wilma Gooch, Jeff Gooch, Willis Gooch, and Ray Gooch; a host of
nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Samuel was preceded in death by Kerry Gooch, Burnice Gooch and
Janice Dowell.
Special thanks to Trenton Gibson Farmers Co-op, Tommy
Townsend, employees and farmers.
Sammy loved all of you.
