A celebration of Mr. Jenkins' life and legacy will be held Friday, August 25, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Matthew's UFWB Church, 400 Dixwell Ave., New Haven. A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

You´ve always kept a watch out for my sister and myself. I love you and will never forget the way you carried yourself as a man. I have seen you in so many different roles but one thing that remains the same is your character. You are the standard of what a man is and does. The smell and atmosphere of you shop will always play over in my mind each time I drive past it. Love you and I will miss you Unc.
