Sandra R. Bartel

After 62 years, Sandra Bartel joined her Heavenly Father on January 21st 2023. She preceeded her dedicated husband of over four decades, Mike Bartel, and will be missed by her daughter, step- daughter, sons-in-laws, beautiful granddaughters and their families. Sandra had a passion for serving the town she loved in various community groups such as the woman's club, garden club and the auxiliary ambulance. She would often be seen walking the neighborhood with her beloved animals over the years. She was a member of United Presbyterian church in Belvidere and had a heart for serving.
Sandra had a number of adventures while with us, from serving in the Army to snorkeling with her grandkids and everything in between. She had a grateful heart for the time she had and while she will be missed, she will not be forgotten. We thank the Lord that He blessed us with her, and as a child of God she has started a new adventures in Heaven. We praise Jesus that there is life everlasting and Sandra is enjoying His truth. She loved so many and was loved as a beloved wife, mom, grandmother and friend. In memory of Sandra, she would love you to enjoy one of the Victorian or historical events in town, participate in the raffle, have tea with a friend, make formal arrangements for the senior citizen center, peel some potatoes for a church social, get apple cider donuts, or take a double look at a classic car.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday January 26, 2023 from 11 AM – 12 PM at the United Presbyterian Church. 224 Mansfield St. Belvidere, NJ 07823. A funeral service celebrating Sandra's life will be held at 12:00 PM at the church with Pastor Pamela Szurek officiating. Burial will follow at the Belvidere Cemetery.
