Mrs. Sandra Gail Key Bledsoe age 83, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy. She was born on September 15, 1942 in Surry County to the late Reece and Judy Snow Key. Her favorite destination for fun was Cherokee. She loved attending her grandkids’ sporting events and activities, and she loved a good family road trip. She also had a wicked sense of humor, loved bowling, and playing cards. She was also a very talented seamstress. She had a variety of treasured friends and extended family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter; Leigh Ann Couch (J.P.), Regina Barbour (R.L. Testerman), Jill Williams, Paige Flippin (Gray); grandchildren, Morgan Lambert, Molly Marion (Greg Martin), Reece Barbour (Kylie Bartlett), Bailey Cook (Daniel), Davi Barbour, Clifton Howard, Grayson Flippin (Gina), Anna Beth Flippin (Logan Staten), Ryan Hall and Jake Hall; great-grandchildren, Mason Wood (Brooke), Max Lambert (Gracey), Tate Bartlett, Evie Barbour, Elliot Flippin, Torrin Flippin, baby Flippin on the way, Hailey Heinz, and Hannah Hall; a sister, Amy Hall. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bledsoe was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bledsoe; son, Dow Kennedy; son-in-law, Steve Williams; brother-in-law, Mike Hall. A celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Rev. Don Hayes. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 PM until the time for the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Mrs. Bledsoe online at Samaritan's Purse or to Central Continuing Care Activity Fund, 1287 Newsome St., Mt. Airy, NC 27030.
