Sandra Faye Forester Bryan, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, October 9th under the care of her loving husband.
Adored by all who knew her, Sandra was born January 15, 1942, daughter of the late Elbert and Myra Forester. Sandra was a devout Christian who loved singing, watching old movies, and doting on her family. She was a selfless and compassionate friend who worked in the school system throughout her life starting as a high school English teacher at Sandy Springs High School and then at Beaver Ridge Elementary in Norcross and retiring at Brookwood High School in Snellville. Sandra loved fiercely. She was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Mother-in-Law, Daughter, Daughter-in-Law, Sister, Sister-in-Law, and Aunt. Perhaps the role she relished most was as "Grammy" to 8 grandchildren. She loved teaching and mentoring and particularly enjoyed teaching English as a second language at Lilburn First Baptist Church, where she impacted the lives of many.
Sandra leaves behind her precious husband of 58 years, Jimmie R. Bryan, daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Bruce Tolbert, daughter and son-in-law Robin and John Manherz and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her 3 siblings, Aubrey Forester, Larry Forester, and Angelyn Lane.
A celebration of life service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the Bill Head Funeral Home Lilburn/Tucker Chapel. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
