Sandra Kay Edwards

Sandra (Sandy) Edwards, 90, of Crafts Prairie, Texas near Bastrop died peacefully on December 23, 2025. Sandy was born in Hutchinson, Kansas on March 16, 1935. She graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1953.

Sandy devoted her life to her husband and her family. She was active in homemaking organizations in Bastrop County and was the Bastrop County Homemaker of the Year in 1995. She was also active at the Bastrop Community Senior Center.

Sandy is preceded in death by her husband, Jim Edwards. She is survived by her son, Steve Edwards and wife Carol Edwards of Katy; her daughter, Carrie Keathley and husband Steve Keathley of Clear Lake; and her daughter, Dawn Bahr and husband Chuck Bahr of Holly Lake Ranch. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan Keathley and wife, Megan of McKinney; Mike Keathley of Frisco; Alexandra Jones and husband, Jared Jones of Lone Tree, Colorado; Conrad Bahr of Tyler; and Matt Bahr and fiancee, Kimmie Croson of Temple. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Connor and Clayton Keathley of McKinney, Colin; Claire and Bennett Jones of Lone Tree, Colorado;and Landon and Daniel Bahr of Temple. Sandy's grandsons will act as honorary pallbearers.

A visitation for family and friends will take place at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home on Saturday, January 10, 2026 from 10am-12pm. A private graveside service will be held at the Claiborne Family Cemetery on Crafts Prairie Road on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 1 PM.
