Sandra J. Forringer, age 86, of Little Hope, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Twinbrook Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Erie on April 3, 1938, daughter of the late Clifford and Geraldine Sweet.
Sandy was a 1956 graduate of North East High School. She had played organ at various churches and sang with The Sweet Adelines. Sandy worked for many years at the family-owned Greenfield Basket Factory and then various other businesses prior to her retirement.
Sandy is survived by her nieces and nephews, Barbara Sweet, Norman Sweet (Sandie), Brenda Widger (David) and Warren Sweet; great-nieces and nephews, Daniel Widger, Abby Fleck (Braeden), Jacob Widger (Shannon), Sam Widger, Ryan Sweet and Sarah Sweet; and a great-great-niece, Noelle Widger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Foster Forringer; and one brother, Warren Sweet.
At the family's request, a private interment will be held at North East Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd.
