Sandra Venable Hall, 80, of Sanford passed away August 17, 2025. She was born May 17, 1945, in Troy, NC, the daughter of the late Marvin Venable and Lois J Coan.

Before retiring from the Lee County Department of Social Services to help with the care of her mother, Mrs. Hall spent a number of years working as the Chair of the Lee County Relay for Life. She was particularly passionate about those suffering from cancer. Sandra had an unwavering and unconditional love for her children and her family. Her empathy for those who suffer in any capacity was matchless and evident in her charity, especially to those around her in need. Her smile, laughter and family famous chicken and dumplings will leave cherished memories in the hearts of those who loved her so dearly.

Sandra leaves behind a husband, Larry; four children, Greg and Andy Hall of Sanford, Larry Glenn Hall (Casey) of Maryland, and Nancy Ouellette (Pep) of Wilmington; a sister, Lori Williams (Gary) of Hamlet and a brother, Rick Venable of Charlotte. Surviving also are seven grandchildren, Hunter, Grayson, Jaycie, Luc, Lillian, Cady and Declan.

Along with her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by brothers, Ronnie and Tony Venable, a sister, Cheryl West and a granddaughter, Tiffany Hall.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, August 21 at the Watson King Funeral Home Chapel in Hamlet with Pastor Jeannie McLean officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 am, followed by a funeral service at 12 pm. Burial will follow at Marks Creek Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Richmond Co. Hospice, 1119 US Hwy. #1 N Rockingham, NC 28379 and the American Cancer Society at donate.cancer.org.
