It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the loss of Sandra Marie Hanson, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Sandra, who passed away on October 12, 2024, following a brief battle with cancer, at the age of 82, was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota on January 25, 1942. Sandra’s life was one of warmth, kindness, and love. With her gentle spirit and unwavering devotion to her family, she touched the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Throughout her life, Sandra dedicated herself to her work as a dedicated cashier, putting in several years at NSP and later finding joy in assisting at veterinary clinics in the North Metro area. Her connection to animals was profound, reflecting her compassionate nature. She found solace and joy in the presence of these creatures, large and small, and her love for them was a true testament to her nurturing soul. Sandra’s marriage of 57 years to her husband Aaron was a source of deep fulfillment and happiness for her. Their bond was a shining example of love and support, demonstrating a commitment that stood the test of time. Together, they shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Among her many treasures, Sandra cherished her granddaughter Mikayla, whose presence brought immeasurable joy into her life. She found great pride in Mikayla’s accomplishments and always looked forward to attending her basketball games, where she could cheer her on with all her heart. As we come together to honor and celebrate Sandra’s life, we remember her with fondness and gratitude for the light she brought into the lives of all who knew her. The memory of her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love will forever remain etched in our hearts.
Sandra will be deeply missed by her husband, Aaron; daughter, Dr. Jennifer (James) Aumer; granddaughter, Mikayla Aumer; other family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the Church of Saint Peter, 1250 South Shore Drive, Forest Lake. The family will greet friends one hour prior to mass at the church. Interment at Scandinavian Cemetery, Forest Lake.
