She was born on August 24, 1946, in Rome, the daughter of Anthony and Lucy (Carletta) Barone. She was a 1964 graduate of Rome Free Academy.
Sandra was united in marriage to James E. Houseman on May 3, 1985, in Oneida. He passed away on July 24, 2019.
Sandra was an occupancy specialist for many years, employed by the Rome Towers, Oneida Indian Nation, and the City of Oneida Housing Authority.
She was attending the Spirit of Hope Parish. She was an avid volunteer for the YMCA, the Oneida City School District, and the Villages in Florida.
Surviving are her two children, Robin Anderson, of Oneida, and Christopher George (Hope) Civitell, of Oneida; two grandchildren, Cody and Bella; and several stepchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Sandra was predeceased by a sister, Rosalind Lawrence.
Private services will be held at the convenience of her family at a future date. Interment will take place in Bushnell National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Sandra J. Houseman, please visit our Tree Store.

My deepest condolences to Sandy´s son George Civitelli, Daughter Robin Anderson and Grandchildren Isabella and Cody Paleczny. Sandy spoke about you all the time. She was so happy to move back to Oneida ny and although she loved the Villages. RIP my friend
