Sandra Hans McLaughlin (nee Poulson), went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 24, 2025, at the age of 86. Sandra's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and her profound impact on those around her. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Sandra was the beloved wife of the late Karl Hans, with whom she shared 21 years of marriage. After Karl's passing, she found love again and was married to the late Robert McLaughlin for 15 years, both unions were blessed with companionship and joy. She was a devoted mother to her daughter, Terri Hatchell, and her husband, John, and was the sister of William Poulson and his wife, Barbara, and JoAnn Simpkins, all of whom she held dear. Her love multiplied through her grandchildren, Katie Hatchell-Reed and her husband Ryley Reed, Rebecca Hatchell, John Hatchell Jr. and his wife Kristin, and Jason Hatchell. Sandra's legacy continued as she became a great-grandmother to Jakob, Sadie, Chatham, Gemma, Jaxson, Grayson, and Taysom. Sandra's educational journey began at Palmyra High School and culminated with her graduation from the Abington School of Nursing. Her career was marked by her ascent from nurse to Director of Nursing at the Baptist Home of South Jersey in Riverton, a role in which she served with dedication and excellence for many years. Beyond her professional achievements, Sandra's interests were diverse and enriching. She had a passion for crafts and took great pleasure in cultivating her perennial garden. Dining out, traveling, and spending time at the beach were activities that brought her immense satisfaction. Her commitment to her community was evident through her active participation on the hospitality team at Heritage Baptist Church. She was always ready to lend a hand, whether it was through cooking or hosting church events, or serving at Vacation Bible School Sandra's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She served the Lord, shared her faith generously, and provided counsel to those around her. Her ability to uplift and guide others was a gift that she shared unreservedly. Love was the essence of her being, and it was reflected in the warmth and care she extended to her family, especially her grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart. She was their biggest cheerleader. From sports to dance to musical events she had a front row seat beaming with pride at their accomplishments. Softball and field hockey games, recitals, concerts, and travelling throughout New England to attend her grandsons' UMass football games, each event meant the world to her. Those are her treasured memories. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation on Wednesday April 30 from 10-11am at the Wiley Church 99 East Main St. where a Funeral Service will be held at 11am. A private burial will take place at Lakeview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandra's memory to the Wiley Auxiliary 99 East Main St. Marlton NJ, 08053 or The Michael J.
