She was born October 10, 1945 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Ross Clipner and Reba (Kirkbride) Clipner.
A graduate of Newcomerstown High School, Sandra was a homemaker. She was also a crosswalk guard for years with the Byesville Elementary School.
She enjoyed fishing, camping, planting flowers, and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard Clipner, James Clipner, and Martin "Bill" Clipner; and four sisters, Peggy Reber, Margaret Steele, Imogene Eller, and Luella Pippen.
Sandra is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Bill Mikes, whom she married January 28, 1966; her children, Brenda Postlethwait, Billy (& Robin) Mikes, and Brian (& Kim) Mikes; her grandchildren, Shawn (& Sonja) Mikes, Alison & Bradley, Brian Mikes Jr., Ryan Mikes, Ethan Mikes, Jennifer Postlethwait, and Michael (& Amber); her great-grandchildren, Castiel Postlethwait, Hannah Mikes, and Riley Mikes; a great-nephew, Bobby Gattrell; and their dog, Fluffy.
Visitation will be held Monday (March 11, 2024) from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday (March 12, 2024) at 11 a.m. with Rev. Nancy Parsons officiating.
Burial will follow at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
