SANDRA S. MURPHY POSEYVILLE, INDIANA Sandra Sue Murphy, 77, of Poseyville, Indiana, passed away peacefully, Friday, September 26, 2025 at her home near Poseyville, Indiana under Heart to Heart hospice care. She was the youngest child born to H. H. "Runt" and Anna Dorothy (Overton) Weedman on February 15, 1948 in Evansville, Indiana. She graduated from North Posey High School in 1966 and Tri- State Beauty College in 1968. Surviving are her husband whom she married on April 22, 1967: Lonnie Carroll Murphy; son: Michael Gene Murphy; daughter: Michele Ann Murphy David (Todd); brother: Robert Weedman; sister: Mary Jane Tenison; grandson: Tad Michael David; great grandson: Carter Phillip David along with several nieces & nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers: James, Roy and Keith Weedman; grandson: Tanner Austin David. We would like to send a Very Special Thank you to ALL the Nurses at Heart to Heart Hospice for the wonderful care, compassion and LOVE shown to our Mother in her final days. We would also like to thank Dr. Burkett and his staff for the care given to Mom. Graveside funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, October 2, 2025 at the Poseyville Cemetery in Poseyville, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
