Sandra was born in Owosso, Michigan in 1936, to her parents, Marion and Douglas Post, where she also acquired her beautiful sister, Diana/Dan Williams and her brother, George Post.
The three siblings spent wonderful summers with their grandparents, Max and Mittie Post of Flushing. Later, she welcomed a stepfather, John Vekoff and sister Rose/Sam Pettinato and John/Trisha Vekoff. Later she married Frederick Mursu and had six children. Sheryl/Steven Denzer, Frederick, Richard/Cynara Mursu, June/Don Matichuk, Douglas, David.
The family lived in Waterford and Clarkston, finally settling in Ortonville. Sandra has 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family. She moved to the Pacific Northwest and found a happy niche for herself, singing with the choral society, making sets for the productions, baking, pottery. Later, she left the west coast and moved closer to enjoy her family and friends.
She held many varied jobs, delivering mail, building cars, baking and cooking, using her artistic talents to help further ecological awareness. She often, laughingly, referred to herself as the "Wicked Witch of the West".
Her life was full and wonderful. She will leave a huge gap in the lives of her family and friends. Mom, Gramma and G. Gramma, we love you always. We thank you for the privilege of sharing with you.
Cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Jansen Family Funeral Home. Share memories, condolences, and pictures with the family at www.jansenfuneralhome.com. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Sandra, please visit our Tree Store.
