Sandra Nuckles Obituary
Sandra Ann Nuckles passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 in Clinton Twp, MI at the age of 60.
Sandra was born January 26, 1961 in Detroit, MI to the late Thomas and Rosemary Asman.
Sandra graduated from Fraser High School in 1979. After high school, Sandra joined the United Sates Navy where she served 22 years and retired as a Chief Ship Supervisor. She married Joel Nuckles in Marietta, GA on June 7th, 1997. Sandra worked as a Licensed Banker at Citizen's bank for 8 years. She received the "Citizens of Excellence" award in 2018 for her outstanding sales performance. Sandra was a member of Shepherd's Gate Lutheran Church in Shelby Twp. She enjoyed hiking, biking, cooking, traveling, and most of all, her family and friends. In her downtime, she loved playing Dragonvale.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband Joel, of 24 years; her two sons Sean P. Clancy of Okemos, and Xavier J. Nuckles of Vance Air Force Base, OK; her sister Deborah Kwiecinski of Shelby Twp and her two brothers, Jack Asman of Lexington and Ronnie (Gail) Asman of Leonard. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Sandra is predeceased by her parents and her brother Gary Asman.
The family honors the memory of Sandra and invites you to visit and share memories Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at Shepherd's Gate Lutheran Church, 12400 23 Mile Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315. Sandra's funeral service will also be Live Streamed for those who cannot attend in person. The link will be posted on Joel's Facebook account by Monday.
In Lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting memorial donations to Shepherd's Gate Church. Checks can be sent to the church or via electronic giving. Here is the link: Shepherd's Gate/Give where multiple pay options are available. Please note in the Memo field: In memory of Sandra Nuckles.
