Sandra June Pennington, age 89, of Plainfield passed away on September 29, 2025 in Plainfield. She was born on July 8, 1936 to the late John and Helen Louise Fahrenkrog Teakert. She married James Hartwell Pennington on July 2, 1955 in Bunker Hill, Illinois. Sandy was a homemaker and a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church. She was the Past President of the Plainfield Woman's Club, Past President of the Plainfield Lady Elks & Golf Club, member of the Delta Alpha Gamma (Gamma Chapter), P.E.O. sisterhood, a soloist and a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church Choir and a member and soloist for the Indianapolis Arts Chorale.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday October 4, 2025 at 1 p.m. in the Plainfield United Methodist Church with memorial visitation from 11 a.m. until services in the church.

Survivors include her husband of 70 years James H. "Jim" Pennington. Son: James Bradford Pennington. Daughters: Julie Ann Pennington and Jill de Ann Mast (Joe). Brother: Terrence D. Teakert 4 Grandchildren: Conner Miskowiec, Karsen Miskowiec, Clayton Mast and Michael Pennington.
