Sandra Jeanne Pineau

Sandra Jeanne Pineau (Sandy), born May 7, 1940, passed away on April 19, 2024 at the age of 83
surrounded by her loved ones at her home in Royal Oak, Michigan, after a courageous battle with
Alzheimer's.
Sandy was the cherished daughter of Arnold and Stella Roger and grew up in Royal Oak where she
formed lifelong friendships and made lasting memories.
Throughout her life, Sandy was known for her kind heart, loving personality, and unwavering love for
her family. Despite her struggle with Alzheimer's, she remained a beacon of love and strength touching
the lives of everyone around her with enduring spirit.
Sandy leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with her children David (Kathie),
Debbie (Tom Daniels) McClain, Patrick (Chantel), Robert, and Kevin (Jamie). She also leaves behind
20 beloved grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Her siblings, Delores Jeffs and Larry Roger
also, many nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Arnold and
Stella Roger and her sister Annette Bratton.
She delighted in family gatherings, created treasured moments that will be fondly remembered by all
that were blessed to know her. A devoted homemaker, Sandys primary focus was caring for her family,
a role she embraced with grace and joy. Her patience and hospitality knew no bounds. Being the
Matriarch of her family her home was always the center point of family gatherings where memories
were made. Sandy was involved in any and all aspects of her children's and grandchildren's lives.
Any day of the week you could find her being the biggest fan at countless hockey, football, soccer,
baseball games, dance recitals, school plays, concerts and so much more. If she wasn't cheering she
was canvasing local cemeteries to complete her ongoing quest to fulfill her Genealogy/Family Tree or
being an ongoing advocate for the Prisoner of War / Missing in Action Commitment to bring them all
home.
A viewing will be held on Monday, April 22nd at Sawyer Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 Twelve Mile Road
Berkley MI 48072 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a scripture service at 7 pm. A mass to celebrate Sandy's
life will be held Tuesday, April 23rd at 9:30 am for visitation with mass following at 10:00 am at St. Mary
Catholic Church 730S. Lafayette, Royal Oak. Burial to follow at Roseland Park Cemetery. Family and
friends are invited to attend these celebrations to pay their respects and honor Sandy aka Bibitz, Heat
Mizer, G-ma, Grandma-Grandma, and Best Friend.
Attendees are encouraged to wear attire representing the Detroit Red Wings or Detroit Tigers, teams Sandy passionately supported throughout her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Sandra Jeanne
Pineau.
The family extends their deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult
time.
