Sandra Reagan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by David G. Martens & Son Funeral Home on Mar. 18, 2026.
Sandra Jean Reagan (nee McClintock). Age 72. Passed away at home on March 14th. Beloved wife of 45 1/2 years to Adelbert "Dewey". Loving mom of Andrew and Alex Reagan. Cherished sister of Suzanne (Larry) Shea-Pierce, Cynthia McClintock (deceased) and Shannon (Michael) Weber and Monique (Jim) Smith. Dear aunt of Adam Shea, Bethany (Kevin) Wasik, Jarrod (Salina) Pierce, Morgan (Bryan Cooper) Timoteo, Madison Weber and Amelia (Doug) Weber and Tyler Smith. Cousin to many and good friend to all. She was the daughter of the late Frank (Judie) McClintock and Barbara (George) Plymesser. Also passing before her was her beloved toy poodle Abby.

Sandra Jean "Sandy" will be remembered as a woman whose light touched everyone she met. She brought joy wherever she went and had a deeply loving soul that made people feel welcomed, valued, and cared for.

A proud 1971 graduate of Lakewood High School, Sandy maintained lifelong friendships with her classmates and remained active in the alumni community. She played a meaningful role in organizing class reunions, always cherishing the connections she helped keep alive.

Sandy was a devoted mother who gave her time wholeheartedly to supporting her children and their activities. She was actively involved in the PTA for her son Alex, helping with events such as the beloved cake walk at Taft Elementary Fall Festival. She also served as President of the Lakewood High School Football Mom's during her oldest son Andrew's time on the team, always showing up with encouragement, energy, and a strong sense of community.

For many years, Sandy ran an in-home daycare in Lakewood, where she made a lasting impact on countless children and families. Through her songs, nurturing spirit, and motherly care, she created a place filled with warmth, laughter, and love.

She had a creative heart and a unique sense of style that those who knew her will never forget-often dressed in her signature bohemian fashion, adorned with scarves and flowing bright colors that reflected her vibrant personality. She also had a natural eye for design, a gift she shared with her father, Frank, and her home was always decorated impeccably. Sandy found great joy in crafting, especially in making beautiful wreaths to share with others.

Her faith was an important part of her life. Sandy was actively involved in several church communities, including Calvary United Methodist Church in Lakewood, Lakeshore United Methodist Church in Avon Lake, and The Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Lakewood. She gave generously of her time through lay speaking, children's church, choir, Bible study, and volunteering for community meals.

Sandy also held a special place in her heart for Camp Wanake, where she, alongside her sister Suzanne, worked for many years to help keep the camp thriving. She served as the Director of the Women's Spiritfire Weekend, touching the lives of many through her leadership, faith, and encouragement.

She loved deeply, lived fully, and was always lifting others up with her kindness and encouragement. Though she is gone from our sight, she will never be forgotten, and her spirit will live on in the many lives she touched.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 21st, 5:00 p.m. at the David Martens & Son Funeral Home 4175 Rocky River Drive (between Lorain & Puritas). Family will receive friends on Saturday from 2-5 p.m.

Memorial Service to be held on April 25th at 11:00 am at Church of the Ascension 13216 Detroit Ave, Lakewood, OH 44107
