Sandra Ellen Martin, age 78, of Kenner, LA was reunited with the love of her life, Lloyd R. Martin, Sr. on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 2:23PM. Sandy, or Sue, was born in New Orleans on July 9, 1944 to the late Sidney Richardson Jr. and the late Mildred Schiler Richardson. She has been a resident of Kenner for the last 46 years. Sandy is survived by her twin brother, Sidney Richardson III; her seven children Evelyn (Tito) Anstiss, Christina (Lyn) Griffin, Sharon (Troy) Trosclair, JR (Christy) Southerland, Telly Hickman, Cindy (John) Ahrens, and Butchie (Barbara) Martin; and her longtime friend and housemate, Carol Schumacher. She is preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Richardson and two children, Mary Martin and Kenny Martin. She will be greatly missed by her 34 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless "adopted" children and grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd in Kenner on Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 10am - 12pm with a Memorial Service at 12:00 pm. Interment will be at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity or the Holy Spirit Street Church.
