Sandra Jo Robinett, 86 of Independence, MO passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the Villages of Jackson Creek. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 5, 2024 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel with burial to follow in Brooking Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m., until service time Friday at the chapel. Sandra was born April 14, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to William J. Dyer and LaVerna P. (Foley) Dyer and has been a longtime area resident. She graduated from Raytown High School and received an associates degree from Penn Valley College. She had worked in administration for Kansas City Veterans Administration from 1956-83 and then transferred to the Veterans Administration Medical Center from 1986 until her retirement in 2006. She enjoyed quilting and crafts and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and family at their lake home at the Lake of the Ozarks that her family built. She was a member of the D.A.R. and the First Baptist Church of Raytown. She was married to Donald W. Robinett until his passing on October 3, 1987. She is survived by; 3 sons, Lonnie W. Robinett and wife Carol, Richard W. Robinett and Robert L. Robinett; 7 grandchildren Angela (Tim), Julianne (Zak), Collin, Tessa, Alex, Nicholas (Lexi) and Raquel; 4 great grandchildren Chloe, Beckham, Calvin and Hannah Jo; a former daughter in law, Kim (Gullick) Robinett. She was preceded in death by a former daughter in law, Autumn Robinett in 2018.
