Sandra Ruttan

Sandra Sue Ruttan, age 85, and a longtime resident of Royal Oak, passed away on March 20, 2025.
Sandra was born in Royal Oak on February 28, 1940 to George and Gladys Kraase. She was a devoted homemaker who also worked for many years as a dental receptionist with Dr. Greenburt/Drs. Golden dental practices in Royal Oak.
For over 30 years Sandra and her beloved Richard enjoyed camping and were active members of Ramblin Recs Camping Group. In her later years, she traveled more outside the state and admittedly became more partial to staying in hotels than campers after memorable trips to Hawaii, Vegas, and Lake Tahoe. Sandra also enjoyed taking photos, assembling scrapbooks, and researching her family trees. She even applied her organizational skills to creating a special book that chronicled from start to finish the building of her son's home up north-a gift that in fact became quite useful years later when questions arose about the exact location of a stud in the wall.
Sandra will be remembered as the beloved wife of the late Richard Ruttan. Loving mother of Cheryl (James) Suiter, Darryl Ruttan, and David (Tama) Ruttan. Proud grandmother of Jameson Suiter, Zachary Suiter, David Ruttan Jr. and Renee Hunt. Dear sister of Gerald Kraase.
