Sandra Swaim Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Flanigan Funeral Home & Crematory on Aug. 21, 2025.

September 13, 1937 - August 19, 2025

Sandra V. Swaim, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 19, 2025 surrounded by her family. Born on September 13, 1937 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Sandra was a self-made woman, no stranger to hard work and perseverance.

A longtime resident of Snellville, GA, Sandra retired after more than 35 years of dedicated service with King & Spalding. She was a faithful member of Corinth Christian Church, where she found both fellowship and strength in her community of friends.

Sandra is survived by her daughter, Pamela Kucera; her son, Charles Krueger; her beloved grandchildren, Adair Kelly (husband, Nathan), Analise Daigle (husband, Kolby) and Virgil Krueger; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Hammond and Hayden Daigle and Baker Kelly. She is also survived by her siblings, Naomi Voncile Townsend (husband, Lewis) and Steve Vandiver (wife, Bonnie) and several nieces and nephews . Her family was the heartbeat of her life, and she loved them fiercely.

Known for her tenacious and feisty spirit, Sandra never shied away from speaking her mind, yet her heart was boundless in generosity. She welcomed family and friends with open arms-whether through a meal, a helping hand, or simply a listening ear. Her home, pantry, and heart were always open.

She was especially known for her home-cooked meals and desserts-a much-anticipated treat for her family when they gathered in her Snellville home. Those meals, shared around her table, became lasting memories that her loved ones will cherish forever.

Sandra had a deep love for her pets, who were her treasured companions in her later years. She enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her flowers, could almost always be found with a stack of books beside her chair , and cherished time spent with her family and close circle of friends.

Sandra will be remembered for her silly little Southern sayings and opinionated spirit, her laugh that filled up a room, and most of all, her unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she so freely gave.

A celebration of Sandra's life will be held at Corinth Christian Church in Loganville, GA on August 24th at 3:00. Rev. Adam Turner will be officiating. The family will be receiving friends at 2:00 pm until the beginning of the service.

Graveside service on Monday, August 25th at 11:00 am at Shadowlawn Cemetery in Lawrenceville, GA
