CRANBERRY LAKE/HERMON – Sandra Catherine Tulip, age 60, of Hermon and formerly of Cranberry Lake, passed away on April 23, 2025.
Calling hours will be held at French Family Funeral Home in Star Lake on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Her funeral Mass will follow in St. Hubert's Catholic Church in Star Lake at 1:30 pm. Burial will be in the Cranberry Lake Cemetery. Condolences may be shared online at www.frenchfuneralhomes.com.
Sandra was born on August 20, 1964 in Star Lake to the late Theodore and Josephine (Russell) Tulip. She attended school in Fowler and graduated from Clifton-Fine Central School. Sandra had worked for NYSARC Seaway Industries in their recycling and mailing departments for many years. Due to the closure of that center, she retired.
Sandra always had a smile on her face. She was a good-natured and friendly person who loved swimming, making latch hook rugs and working on search word puzzles. She had participated in the Special Olympics where she enjoyed the softball throw and playing basketball. Due to her failing health, Sandra couldn't participate in, but enjoyed attending NYSARC events.
Her survivors include her seven siblings, Gary (Donda) Tulip, Keith (Paula) Tulip, Anne (Lynn) Hanley, John Tulip, Linda LaParr, Debbie (Jeff) Rixon, and Theodore (Tasha) Tulip Jr., and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents and a brother-in-law, Larry LaParr.
Her family wishes to give special thanks to Sandra's residential home and to Canton-Potsdam Hospital for their excellent care.
Donations in memory of Sandra may be made to The ARC Jefferson-St. Lawrence, 6 Commerce Lane, Canton, NY 13617.
