Sandra Williams

Winslow - Sandra Lee (Grivois) Williams, 82, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 5, 1942, in Waterville, Maine, Sandra was the daughter of Ernest Grivois and Marion (Lachance) French. Sandra also had a loving stepfather, James French. She was married to the love of her life, Russell A. Williams, for 58 wonderful years. Together, they raised five children: Jodi Boulanger and her husband Chris, Kimberly Kendall, Irene Gaud and her husband Raymond, Marion Tanguay and her husband Michael, and Russell Williams Jr. Sandra's greatest joy was being a grandmother to 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, who all held a special place in her heart. Sandra has three brothers: William French and his wife Linda, Robert French, and Donald French and his wife Jean. A woman of deep faith, Sandra was a devoted Christian who loved reading her Bible and singing in the church choir. Her relationship with the Lord was her foundation, and she embraced the Biblical call to "be fruitful and multiply" with her whole heart. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, and friend. Always kind and full of wisdom, Sandra was a source of strength and love to her family. Her door was always open to anyone in need, and she never asked for anything in return. Sandra's family was everything to her. She cherished the many Thanksgivings, Christmases, and Easters spent with loved ones, along with countless cookouts that brought everyone together. Her unwavering message was simple but profound: "We always have each other, and together we can get through anything. Lean on each other, but most of all, love each other. Life on Earth is short, but life in Heaven is eternal. See you on the other side." A service in Sandra's honor will be held on February 21, 2025, at 12:00 pm at the China Baptist Church, 36 Causeway Road, South China. Following the service, there will be a burial at 2:00 pm at the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Point Afta, 252 China Road, Winslow. Arrangements are under the care of Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville.
