Sandrea Gaines Wood Obituary
A graduate of Tucker High School, University of Georgia, and the University of Virginia, she split her career between teaching in elementary schools in North and South Georgia and computer programming for the State of Georgia, where she met her husband. She and Ron enjoyed traveling to National Parks in the US and Canada but locally enjoyed taking her family members to venues around Atlanta which are both educational and entertaining.
At a later date family will gather to scatter her and her late husband's ashes over a body of water of their choosing. While there were no immediate survivors, she is survived by Gary C Gaines nephew, Terri Butler niece, Elizabeth A Gaines niece, and great nieces and great nephews: Katherine Lazarowski, Christian Gaines, Sarah Campbell, Kristina Craig, Rebecca Heine.
Friends wishing to honor her memory may send donations to the Center of Puppetry Arts, Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Fernbank Museum, or the humanitarian organization of their choice. Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Georgia

Aunt Sandy, there are too many amazing memories for me to even begin to share, so let me share the most important memory you´ve given me. You´ve left me with the permanent memory of what it feels to be loved unconditionally. Every single thought I have of you, every memory, is a positive one even from my hardest moments and most difficult times. You always said we have the `gloomy Gaines genes´ but for my entire life you gave me sun after every downpour. I love you more than I can say and miss you more than I am able to comprehend. Thank you for an amazing life.
