Sandrie Stroinski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapels - Coon Rapids on Jan. 25, 2026.
Stroinski, Sandy (Gliniany)

Sandy passed away at the age of 83 on January 19, 2026 surrounded by her family. Preceded

in death by her parents Edward and Anna Mae Gliniany, her brother Ronald Gliniany, her

Grandma Tootsie and other family and friends.

Sandy was born on May 4, 1942 to Edward and Anna Mae Gliniany. She had two sisters and

one brother. She spent her working career in the Anoka-Hennepin School district where she

retired. She was also very involved with the Coon Rapids Athletic Association and the Olympic

Development Soccer Program. She did everything from coaching to being a board member.

She really enjoyed being a part of the soccer community. She was a wonderful wife, mother,

grandmother, great grandmother, sister, cousin, aunt and friend. If you had the pleasure to

meet her you became her friend- her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Sandy and Gene were married on July 21, 1962. They had five children. They spent their

weekends watching the boys play softball and the girls play soccer. The children played other

sports as well and Sandy was their biggest fan. You could hear her cheering from miles away.

She and Gene enjoyed traveling together, with family and friends. Sandy would not miss an

opportunity to travel. We think the sisters trips may have been her favorite with all the laughs

and memories made. She also enjoyed painting, gardening and crocheting.

However, Sandy's greatest delight was her family; we all benefited from the love she showed

us. She was firm, kind, compassionate, friendly and loving. She enjoyed watching her Soap's

on TV, spending time in the pool, cross country skiing and much more. She devoted many

hours volunteering. She was a very proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survived by husband of 63 years, Gene; sons, Mike (Karen) Stroinski, Mark (Patti) Stroinski,

Scott (Karen) Stroinski,

daughters, Kelli (Tony) Buraglio and Nikki (Tim) Evens;

9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 sisters and many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday January 30th 11:00am at

St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St. Anoka, MN 55303, luncheon to follow.

Visitation will be held one hour before the service at 10:00am. Interment will be on May 4, 2026

at Fort Snelling, time to be determined.
