Sandy Bergeron Casella

Sandy Bergeron Casella, of Houma, LA, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025. She was born on April 12, 1980, to her parents Sandra Ann Pizzolato and Jerry Paul Bergeron. Sandy is the loving wife of Keith Casella. She is the sister of Jerry Bergeron, II, an aunt to Rhianna Falgout, Katie Bergeron, and Nick Bergeron. Great-aunt to Mayven, Sebastian, Gabriel, and Charlotte. Daughter-in-law to Peter (Janice) Casella, and sister-in-law to Angie (Alan) Jeanfreau. She is also survived by numerous loving friends worldwide. Sandy was a pillar of the Cosplay Community. From Connan, The Spartans of the 300, an Amazonian warrior queen from Themyscira, a member of the 501st & Rebel Legions, Pris from Blade Runner, Princess Cecilia at Renfairs and many others. She helped rebuild the metal bikini Leia community and made it a more welcoming place. She is a huge part of the Dragon Con family. She is a beacon of light with a very kind soul who many are proud to call her a friend. She has earned her place in the halls of Valhalla and is a true Valkyrie. Sandy graduated with a Bachelors degree from Nicholls State University. She worked at Musgrave, McLachlan and Penn, LLC as a paralegal for 15 years. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124 and on Friday, February 28, 2025, a visitation will be held at 10:00 am with a mass starting at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
