Sara Dorn Bugg

North Augusta, SC-Funeral Services for Sara Dorn Bugg, 96, beloved and loving wife of Julian Bugg for 72 years, who passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Rev. Frank Barker officiating. Interment following in Pineview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Sara was educated at Woodruff, SC schools and Winthrop College. She worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Soil Conservation Service after college and the U.S. Navy after marriage. She was a stay-at-home wife and mother after her children were born. Sara was a long-time member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she was active in Sunday School, WMU and was the church clerk for over 20 years.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents, the late Dewey and Polly Dorn and siblings, Marion Dorn, Iris Bearden and Donald Dorn.

She was a devoted mother of daughter, Jamie Bugg (Ray-Deceased) Kroger and son, David Dorn (Karen) Bugg. Loving grandmother of Leigh DeLoach, Kyle (Melissa) Thomas, Matthew (Tori) Bugg, Alexx Bugg and doting great-grandmother of Rhys DeLoach, Peyton DeLoach, Kayson Thomas, Colt Thomas and Samuel Bugg and had several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Bugg, Rhys DeLoach, Kyle Thomas and Don Pullum. Honorary pallbearer will be Kayson Thomas.

Memorials maybe made in Sara's memory to Immanuel Baptist Church, 615 Old Edgefield Road, North Augusta, SC 29841.
