Born in Chicago, Illinois, Sara was adopted at birth by Joseph and Dorothy Miller of Tarkio, Missouri, where she grew up. Small town life suited her - playing on local schoolyards and farms, and attending summer camp in Minnesota where she learned to ride horses and sail.

Upon graduating from Tarkio High School, she attended Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri, and later transferred to the University of Missouri. While at Mizzou, Sara became a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. This was a highlight of her life, as her paternal grandmother was Martha Louisa "Lou" Stevenson, one of the six founding members. Sara stayed active with Kappa activities throughout her life.

After graduating with a degree in Education, Sara married Paul G. Johnson, Jr. in 1956 and they had two children, Anne and David. She and Paul were divorced in 1963, and she moved to Kansas City to raise her young family. Various teaching and secretarial jobs led Sara to the Folgers Coffee Company. Procter & Gamble acquired Folgers in the mid-seventies and moved their administrative staff to Cincinnati, Ohio. Sara relocated with David in tow. She excelled at P&G and was promoted throughout her 25 year career, retiring in 1994 as an Administrative Manager.

Upon the deaths of her adoptive parents, Sara was compelled to learn about her birth parents. Her search revealed that her birth mother had passed away. She was delighted, however, to discover two half brothers, both living in the Orlando, Florida area. They connected and her family immediately tripled in size.

During her retirement, Sara loved to travel - visiting Africa, Australia, Italy, Iceland and Alaska. But her favorite destination was Rockland, Maine, where three times she set sail on the three-masted schooner, Victory Chimes. She also enjoyed painting, first in oils and later in watercolors. Sara loved helping others - she volunteered at the Hoxworth Blood Center and the Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired.

Sara is survived by her daughter Anne Dubinsky (Bart) of Raymore, Missouri; her son David Johnson of Amelia, Ohio; and two grandsons, David Dubinsky of Raymore, Missouri and Jacob Dubinsky of Toronto, Canada. She is predeceased by her half brothers, Thomas Prince (Selby) of Winter Park, Florida and James Prince (Ann) of Fern Park, Florida.

A memorial visitation will be held at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington on Wednesday, February 5 from 5-7PM
