Sara Suarez Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bridges Funeral Home on Dec. 15, 2025.
Sara Ruth Suarez, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 86.
Born October 16, 1939, she was the daughter of Lon and Pauline (Branson) Green. She graduated from Carter High School in Knoxville and played on the girls basketball team. She was a member of the Trentville United Methodist\Trentville Church in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee.
Sara worked for Roche Vitamins, in Belvidere, New Jersey, for many years, as well as Sun Trust Bank in Pine Island, Florida, before moving back home after her husband passed. Her husband, David, and she loved the ocean in New Jersey, where they spent so much time on their boat as well as spending time in Atlantic City. After they both retired from Roche Vitamins, they moved to Cape Coral, Florida.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Lon and Pauline Green; her brother, William; and her best friend forever and sister-in-law, Katie Green.
She is survived by her sons, Steven (Carole) of Easton, Pennsylvania, and David, of Allentown, Pennsylvania; her Grandchildren, Kimberly, Amy, Amanda, Rebekah, Steven, and Jeremy; five Great Grandchildren; and so many cousins, nieces, and nephews that she loved as well.
There will be a Memorial Service at the Trentville Church in Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sara's honor to your local American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.

Sara was a very dear friend of mine. We went to high school together and reconnected in the last several years. I had come to Tennessee to visit her several times, and we had some very good visits. I was very blessed to call her friend.
