Sarah "Sally" Basler

Sarah Jane Fansher Basler (Sally), 77, of Greenville, SC entered fully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Friday, July 7, 2023 after suffering a heart attack.
Sally was born on February 23, 1946 in Dayton, Oh. She was the daughter of Fred and Helen (Harvey) Fansher.
Sally met and married the love of her life, Donald Basler, while earning a Bachelor's Degree in home economics at Ohio University. After they married in 1967, Don and Sally moved to North Carolina where they welcomed their first child, Tamery. In 1974, following a short time living in Dallas, TX, they relocated to Columbus, OH, where their second child, Matthew, was born. In 1986 they moved to Greenville, SC, which has been their home for the last 36 years.
Sally's faith was an essential part of her life, and she invested much of her time participating in bible studies and church activities. She had many memorable adventures with Don that included traveling the world, boating, annual trips to Hilton Head Island, and spending time with their many friends and family, including their two children, seven grandchildren, and their one great-grandchild. Sally loved being in nature, whether it be the mountains or the beach, and she always came back from her adventures with a story to tell.
Sally will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Don Basler; her daughter, Tamery Stafford (Scott); her son, Matthew Basler (Stacey); her grandchildren, Hudson, Mason, Gavin, and Owen Stafford and Gabriella, Justin, and Anderson Basler; her great grandson, Landon Stafford; and her two sisters, Katherine Parnell and Marion Pearcy.
The memorial service will be held Friday, July 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Burnsview Baptist Church with visitation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Burnsview Baptist Church or The Chapel Project at Rolling Green Village.
