Sarah Ann "Sally" Calderwood, age 91, of Jonesville, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Hillsdale Hospital. She was born on December 24, 1933, in Allen, to Howard and Ada (Miller) Meade. She married John Calderwood in 1953, and he preceded her in death in 1988.
Sally graduated from Litchfield High School in 1953 and went on to work for Jonesville Products for many years. She was an avid bowler and had her own league at L&J Lanes. She also enjoyed crocheting and donated her little baby hats to local hospitals.
Sally is survived by four children; Shiela Heath, Sean Calderwood, Tesha (Louis) Hanson, and Delbert Calderwood; ten grandchildren, Tobin (Rae) Calderwood, Jodi (Steve) Leffel, Karie (Jay) Larimer, Seumus (Ashley) Calderwood, Tynan Calderwood, Chad (Bethany) Calderwood, Ashley Abbott, Cari Calderwood, Jeff Calderwood, and Jack (Jeannie) Calderwood; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren with one on the way; and her significant other, Michael Burkhart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 35 years, John; and two children, Tiela Abbott, and Tige Calderwood; and a previous partner, Donny Campbell.
A visitation for Sally Calderwood will take place on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 1:00 -2:00 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville. Interment will follow at Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville with Sue Heath officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jonesville Fire Department. Arrangements have been entrusted to Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville.
