Sarah Frances Conley, age 83, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family.
On January 26, 1941, Sarah was born in
Marion, OH; the daughter of the late Clyde and Mabel (Shenefield) Payne. Sarah attended Marion Harding High School and went on to work as a machinist at Tecumseh Manufacturing until the company moved over sea. After finishing work at Tecumseh, Sarah went on to earn her Licensed Practical Nursing License and retired from Woodside Village in Mount Gilead, OH.
Sarah was a woman of many talents and passions, one of her great passions was gardening. One of her many talents that was also her favorite hobby was making artificial arrangements. Sarah's love for playing bingo and trying her luck with scratch-off lottery tickets was infectious. The thrill of the game and the joy of anticipation lit up her eyes, bringing laughter and excitement to those around her. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and made every moment special.
An independent spirit, Sarah was not one to shy away from a challenge. Sarah's home was a reflection of her creativity and hard work, a testament to her dedication to creating a warm and inviting environment for her family.
Russell, a golden doodle mix, was not just a pet but a cherished member of the family. Sarah's eyes would light up with love and joy whenever Russell was by her side. Their bond was a testament to the unconditional love that exists between a pet and their owner. One of Sarah's greatest accomplishments was not only mastering these skills herself but passing them down to her children.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children: Kathaleen Monaco, Bret Conley, Sonja (Randy) Gates, and Marcus (Debbie) Conley; grandchildren: Tiffani Rose, Harlee Conley, Britnee Conley, Wesley Cameron Clark, Chasity Thiel, Jacoby Baab and Taylor Baab; great-grandchildren: Cody Rose, Briana Stotts, Sierra Stotts, Wesley William Clark Jr., Kennedy, Torran, Lawsenn, Harlen, Phoenix and River Baab ; great-great grandchildren: Ezreal Rose and Brynlee Theil; and sister, Linda Perry.
In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her siblings: Stanley Payne and Betty Dorfe.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 8, 2024; from 12NOON-1PM; at Snyder Funeral Homes, Denzer Chapel, 360 E. Center Street,
Marion, OH 43302. Funeral Ceremony will follow at 1PM with, Pastor Galen McLeod officiating. Graveside service will immediately follow at Marion Cemetery.
