Sarah Ann Copeland, a beacon of loving kindness and adventurous spirit, passed away on July 8, 2024, in Berkley, Michigan. Born on September 9, 1986, in Royal Oak, Sarah's infectious smile and thoughtful nature touched the lives of all who knew her.
Sarah grew up in a lively household, the beloved daughter of Sharon Webb and the late Jeffery Webb. She found joy and camaraderie in the company of her brothers, Jason (Marie-cel), Joe (Amy), and Jacob (Alexa) Webb, who together shared countless cherished memories. Sarah's family circle expanded through marriage to include her adoring husband, Justin, her caring mother-in-law Diane Behrendt, her supportive father-in-law Jeffrey Copeland, and her brothers-in-law Daniel Behrendt, Cody (Julia), and Casey Copeland. Her role as aunt to Lilith, Jonas, James, London, Tony, Bruce, and Coen was one she embraced with enthusiasm and love, leaving a lasting imprint on their young lives.
Sarah brought warmth and dedication to her work at the June and December Gift Store in Berkley, where her presence became an integral part of the community fabric. Her colleagues and customers alike will remember her for her attentive service and genuine care.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Sarah's zest for life shone brightly through her varied interests. From setting up camp under the stars to playing with her beloved dog, Bowser, Sarah's love for the outdoors and animals was evident. Her spirit of adventure took her to sunny Florida and on Caribbean cruises, experiences that she treasured and often recounted with vivid stories and laughter.
Sarah's legacy is one of love, adventure, and thoughtfulness-a triad of qualities that she embodied fully. Those who knew her will recall her ability to turn an ordinary day into a memorable one, simply by being present and sharing her joy. Her love knew no bounds, her adventurous soul inspired others to explore, and her thoughtful gestures created a ripple effect of kindness in the world around her.
As we bid farewell to Sarah Ann Copeland, we celebrate a life lived with an open heart and an unwavering dedication to the happiness of others. Her memory will continue to guide and inspire us, like a lighthouse standing resolute against the tides of time. Sarah will be dearly missed, but her spirit will remain ever-present in the lives of those she touched.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, July 14 from 3:00-8:00pm at Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home 2125 12 Mile Rd. Berkley (two blocks west of Woodward Ave). The funeral service will be at 11:00am on Monday, July 15 at the funeral home.
