Sarah Dent

Sarah Louise Dent was born on September 3, 1925, to the late John F. Johnson and Mable [Chase] Johnson in Calvert Co. Maryland. She was one of seven children. On July 20, 2023, with her daughter and granddaughter at the hospital with her, she passed away peacefully when the Lord whispered her name and she answered His call.
Sarah received the Lord as her personal Savior. She grew up in Calvert Co. Maryland and attended the public school system. Sarah met the late Charles Dent and they were married in 1947. One son Bobby was born in Calvert Co. Maryland. They moved to Port Norris, NJ, where seven children were born. They then moved to Amityville, NY where they had seven more children. After living in New York for so many years, they moved to New Haven, Conn.
Sarah was a caregiver at Brunswick Hospital in Amityville, NY for over 20 years. She was a woman of many talents. She loved to cook for her family and would feed anyone that her children would bring home. She also loved to care for people. She enjoyed family gatherings and all the good times with her family. She loved music and dancing. She was affectionately known as "Mom" to all that came into her presence, and she made everyone feel welcomed.
She leaves to cherish her memory, 2 sisters, Elsie Kent of Calvert Co. Maryland, and Irma Holden of Wildwood, New Jersey. 3 daughters, Ernestine Toran, Estelle Dent, and Katheline Dent/Riley, all of New Haven, Conn. 8 sons, Roscoe, Robert, Arsemas, Freddie, Tyrone Dent all of New Haven, Conn. Conway of Northport, New York, and Stanford of Bellport, New York and Jerome Dent of Glassboro, New Jersey. A special son Quinn Bullock of New Haven, Conn. 52 grandchildren, 88 great grandchildren, and 19 great great grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who love her dearly.
She was predeceased by her parents John F. Johnson and Mable Johnson, her husband Charles Dent, 4 sons, Bobby, Spurgeon, Cephas, and Nathaniel, one brother, William Johnson, 3 sisters, Annie Gross, Pearl Brooks, Gertrude Johnson, grandchildren, Conway Jr., Travis, Jermaine, and Charles [Chucky] Dent, 2 great grandchildren, Nay'Twaun Carl Hardy, Amira Renee Dent
