Sarah E. Tavis, 28, of Brownsburg, passed away on July 20, 2025. She was born on April 26, 1997 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Robert Tavis and Sherry (Bradley) Elslager. Sarah graduated from Speedway High School in 2015. She worked as a procurement finance specialist for I.N.D.O.T. for the past few years. Sarah was an avid Amazon shopper, loved clothes, enjoyed helping others, and had a special bond with her dog, Gunner. She also loved spending time with family and friends, especially her nephew, Carter. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Larry Bradley; grandmother, Marilyn Tavis; aunt, Lisa Nitz. Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home beginning at 6:00 p.m., where family and friends may visit from 4:00 p.m. until time of services. Survivors include her parents, Robert Tavis and Sherry (Michael) Elslager; brother, Ben Tavis; sister, Cassie (Corey) Rance; grandmother, Marjorie Summers; step-grandmother, Martha Tavis; grandfather, Ron Tavis; aunts, Tammy Bradley, Cindy Bradley and Karen Roe; uncles, Brian Bradley, Mike Tavis and Donald Walker; nephew, Carter Rance; several cousins.
